SECURE BACKUP

hi to everybody...

i'd like to do a backup copy of all of my files stored into my HD...
my pc run XP....is it the backup utility of windows a good choice or someone can advertise any freewares that can allow me to have a compressed and secure backup?

I would install them all and test them to see if they meet my requirements. Then uninstall the ones you don't want. My hardware and my requirements in backup might not be the same as yours.
