Is the whole net / cover / pool fence legislation passed as yet? If not, there a good chance?

I rent a place out with pool and no net. Tenants have a toddler and have asked that I buy a net - that's fair, right ?

Regardless of the law you should be providing the net. Do you want a toddler to drown in your pool because you never offered the safety option?

As far as I know - it was passed quite some time ago that a pool should be secured from kids - I think there's new legislation that's coming that's a lot stricter - i.e. even if you don't have kids you still have to secure your pool area.

I agree. Doing the right thing shouldn't require legislation.

Practically there is legislation so you should have it already. Realistically if you were staying there no-one would check but if someone did drown (even if some oke broke in) then you can be held liable. I think just get it seeing as the tenants have a kid...

If you have a pool, secure it. Period.

If some savage hops the wall and drowns, **** him.

Oh - and make sure the tenant signs an addendum covering damages to the net. Dogs chew those up.
