Security researcher uncovers seven developers abusing Mac App Store policies with malware-infested apps

The developer changed the applications’ code remotely once the Apple review team approved it.
Sneaky. Though Apple must ensure that this loophole gets plugged.

But I thought Macs couldn't get viruses, and that Apple's notarisation process would eliminate malicious software from running on user machines? And that Apple carefully checks every single application on their stores to make sure they are high qualify products, free of malware.

Sneaky. Though Apple must ensure that this loophole gets plugged.
Would be tricky to fix, as finding that loophole would require them going through the source code of the application. And there are completely innocent uses of that feature, like having auto update.

Gotta love Apple, when its the google store then Google is lax policing their apps, when its Apple then its the developers abusing their store policies..
