Self defence pepper guns

Taking on a (most likely armed) robber with pepper is a REALLY bad idea. You raise your "gun", he raises his, game over

Im speaking from experience, i had a 8 round pepper gun and we had a burglar in our complex one night. I went out all brave and it dawned on me if this guy has a proper weapon im gonna be in big trouble. I sold it the next day, my gun license is currently pending. Im not saying buy a real gun, im saying think careful about how stupid it is to take on a armed burglar with nothing more than a toy gun

The above company prefer the gas guns such as the defender, I selected the Tipmann TPX due to size and ease of use, I didn't want to have to worry about gas refill etc

I hear what you are saying bud. I would also feel a lot more comfortable with a live round pistol, but I dunno, when you have kids the thought of any accidents happening frighten me to death. I grew up with guns, my dad had no fewer than 7 guns at one time, and one night it saved our lives but I dunno, I guess I am just worried something bad could happen. With a riot gun at least I have something rather than just a broom.

Shot man, those gas rifles do look very tempting I must say. 200 rounds of glass + pepper balls = 1 sore intruder (or even dead if you hit him in the right spot)
 
Got my tippmann tipx yesterday. Awesome piece of weaponry. It packs a serious punch. I would not want to be on the other end of this gun. It's a really good non lethal option for self defence.

So where did you order from grim?
 
if you do it right you can get plenty advantage over an armed burglar using a good pepper gun. When done correctly you get a chance to shoot him with his own gun and the case is clean.
 
I would also consider a quality paintball gun with a hopper loaded with pepper and rubber balls.

What Bwana is saying is that the best defense often is no offense. Do nothing to engage and enrage and you might come out alive and well, but without a few electronics. Or engage and enrage and lose life or limb. Wisdom required.
 
Untrained self defense can do more harm than good. A simple break-in for drug money may turn into a slaughterhouse by someone with a gun or some pepper balls overreacting to the situation. Often the perp is as nervous as you are and don't want to shoot but only intimidate to get away with stuff to sell ... but then get forced to shoot by a fool with pepper spray etc. Too many car hijacks have gone very wrong because of Mr Tough guys trying to show old Army combat skills from 1980. There are times to let go and let the insurance handle the situation. It requires training and wisdom to know the difference ... when to act, and when not to ... how to read the situation.
