I like the idea. But having to move to a town where you are a physical labourer just because you are not one of the elite... Or having to listen to a Town council to what you can and can't do... Job prospects there are non-existent. You sweep the street or pick nuts for a living.

I would move to a place where people can be free to practice whatever religion or lack there of they want. Not have silly rules and restrictions on what you can and can't do. Where technology and jobs are in great supply and people are happy for just being themselves but do share a language, culture or whatever.

Ofc we can change the future. And I'm not just talking about Sunny little SA. Globally. Currently most of the world's problems are around religion and cultural clashes. Antifa, ISIS/ISIL, Brexit the list goes on and on. Some of the most peaceful nations on earth are because of lack of/limited integration.
