Hi All

I applied for the self install option and was just wondering how long does it take for them to convert the line.

Hi Barfish88

For the adsl to be activated on your line, this process can take between 4 - 8 weeks to be completed.
Bare in mind that this is the time specified, however, on a positive note, and this is NO guarantee, but at least a bit of positivity.. it can be completed faster than the specified time, it all depends on your exchange etc..

Thanks for the reply guys but I just got call and they said its all done. Went home and its up and running. Thats 2 days must be a record

In Queenstown, no less??? Must be a record for sure!

Now make absolutely 100% sure that the line is properly verified. I verified my line, but had hassles getting to any sites, until I spent 30min on the phone and the support guy re-verified my line. This is apparently not an uncommon occurrence too.

Barfish88 .. it all depends on the DSLAM ; Exchange, this determines how long the activation will take.

It took them 4 days and all went smoothly!

My friend's application took 3 days and that included a new line installation!!

I think it highly depends in witch area u live in.
