Hi All

I am looking to sell a 2nd hard car, however I do not need to buy a replacement. What are the best methods? Do dealerships only buy cars ?

if doing it privately how does one this work? My vehicle is over R100,000 in BV so that is a rather larger transfer.

regards

Generally, the best way to get the most back on your car from a dealership is to trade it in for another car at the same dealership, otherwise they'll buy it for as low as possible, in which case you are better off just advertising it on Gumtree.

Very easy.

You advertise it, people come look at it, someone says they want to buy it.

Then they EFT the money into your account and you get the relevant paperwork in order and hand it over to them and off they go.

Presumably you have the registration papers already and it isn't still with the bank?

I have the logbook and its a 2010 Nissan Hardbody 4x4, low millage 52,000 on the clock based in Cape Town.

try a couple dealships , i used a company called webuycars.co.za before and they will give you more than what you would get on trade in but less than retail , but give them a try and see
