Senate comittee finds Bush deliberately distorted intelligence

Its sort of academic since they probably wouldn't exist if it weren't for US aid, but considering that the Jews bring their own expertise and education to the region its hard to see them not being better off. But without the massive aid they receive yearly its doubtful that most of Israel would look much better than the average West Bank settlement.

Why do you say they wouldn't exist? Israel was established without US aid wasn't it?

I guess he means that Israel wouldn't be able to defend itself as well as it does with out US arms and support. But who really cares?

I can only laugh at the level of idiot who feels the need to continously start these type of threads, and the level of idiots who come on here frothing at the mouth to respond with their usual rubbish.

It certainly couldn't have been maintained without US aid. Imagine a Six Day war fought without planes bought and paid for by US tax-payers.

That may be true but then again the Palestinians couldn't have done much without the support of the Iranians, Syrians, Egyptians etc.

I agree with one of the beginning posts.. Everyone knows that Bush and his Intelligence pplz were lying..

But what ramifications will he face? I'd like to see something done that holds him and everyone else involved accountable. I want to see some punishment. Because without punishment it will happen again and again and again.. How many peoples lives were lost because someone in a position of power, with alterior motives lied?

Would you call for punishment of leaders like monkey-boy president of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the old Afghanistan and Iraq?

ROFL so the U.S, U.K, Australia, Spain, Italy in fact almost every nation in the U.N along with weapon inspectors and intelligence services are all going to be dragged in front of some organization and held 'accountable'. Sure.
