We’re looking for a seasoned Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer with at least 5 years of experience building and maintaining robust web applications. Bonus points if you’ve also worked with PHP or C#. You’ll be part of a distributed team, collaborating to deliver high-quality solutions and drive product success. This is a fully remote position based in South Africa.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain Ruby on Rails applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and implement new features
• Optimize application performance and scalability
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
• Contribute to code reviews and mentor junior team members
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails
• Experience with PHP or C# .NET is beneficial
• Exposure to AWS, Azure and Docker is a plus
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working remotely and independently
• Must be based in South Africa
Salary:
• R50 000 – R80 000
