Good idea - but highly unlikely that DoC will ever let the control over Sentech go. The only sad thing is that they sit on all that spectrum - if only MWEB, IS, Altech etc can make a deal with them, similar to the Vodacom - iBurst agreement.Seperate the Sentech broadcasting and broadband divisions. Then sell off the broadband division or enter into a partnership agreement with MWEB or IS to operate the broadband divison offering wimax as the primary wireless broadband product.
Sentech said that this was not anticipated: “This announcement came as a surprise to stakeholders, in particular, customers and staff and has caused some consternation.”
I have a friend near Rosebank who still uses it cause her dad refuses to change. He's worried that one of the other providers will just be worse though I don't think thats likely.Just as a matter of interest ... is anyone out there still on a MyWireless or Biznet service? If so, what's it like?
