It's like deja vu - I'm sure Sentech made headlines last year after lodging a verbal complaint with the PPCC that the DoC was not providing funding for Sentech, and that Tsunami-Shareholder Shope-Mafole scolded Sentech for airing the DoC's dirty-Sentech-laundry in public...
Perhaps Sentech could sell all its IPWireless equipment and have some money to start working on a redundant teleportation pad in case Poison Ivy's deportation to the Hades universe jam doughnuts the first teleportation pad.

Their broadband is so shocking that a lot of people are leaving. I don't know if they are ever going to be able to fund their own network just from subscription money. I am jumping ship in the next week or two when my ADSL line comes through. They are so bad it is not funny...

Every decision that you try and take as a company has to be agreed with fifteen committees and takes months.
What? I think we have a cause effect mix up problem here. Have a very low debt-equity ratio usually means that you can borrow lots. You have lots of equity and no debts... Isn't it that Sentech is not allowed to borrow money on the open market because the government holds the strings?

I am very sorry for my strong words but this is one again a screaming example of government tends to serve everybody’s wants and nobodies needs.
Sentech has a very simple mandate distribute signals and meat the guarantees of the DOC in terms of 2010. They get totally sidetracked by the lure of possibly making money in the open market. They will never survive the first round of the ensuing price war between Telkom and Neotel and the Mobile operators over the next 12 moths.
My message to Sentech is clear: Focus on what you do best TV, do not try to play with the big boys, because the play is going to turn into a fight and the fight into a war and if our gun is smaller than mine
