"IT MUST be bad news when your S throws a wobbly. Just ask Sentech, which had to call out a rigging team yesterday to reattach the wobbling letter S in its rather chunky logo atop its 237m tower in Brixton, Johannesburg.

Not surprisingly, Sentech was alerted by several concerned residents who feared the broadcasting company was about to make its presence felt more forcibly than usual.

Since Sentech will soon begin modernising its equipment to transmit digital television, perhaps it should use some of the redundant cabling to tie on its letters more securely."
