Sentech rolls out digital terrestrial system

HDTV would be very nice, i hope we can buy the decoders at year end already so that we can watch hidef tv already

Cheapest decoder in UK, about £35.00
But to receive HDTV you'll have to wait until the broadcaster actually broadcasts in HDTV. HDTV will only be broadcasting in SA during Worldcup and that is only for International Transmissions and not for SA Digital Broadcasts, but you never know.
 
I'd settle for digital tv - the HDTV stuff can wait.
 
If you live in JHB you can buy your set top box now all ready. Know some people whom have been using it for a couple of months ... only sabc and i think etv is available though
