serial to ethernet help

Hi Guys

Does anyone know how to use the serial to ethernet device that comes with
the billion 800 vgt.I have connected it correctly, now I want to issue commands
but don't know how to get a connection

Please help

From the manual
This router supports flexible management interfaces using a local console, LAN or WAN port. Users can use terminal applications through the console port to configure and manage the device, or Telnet, WEB GUI, and SNMP through LAN or WAN ports to configure and manage the device.

Have you tried using hyperterminal (if you are using XP) or some other terminal application software ?

Thanks, I never ever once noticed that PuTTY could connect to serial consoles. Good to know when you need to use a program like that on Vista or 7.
