Well done to the boys. Roma were pretty nasty. Totti's challenge on mario is probably the worst tackle I have seen this season. Perrota,burdisso and mexes are also lucky to have stayed on the pitch. But we still won in the end. Only disappointment was sneijder getting injured but they say he could be ok for sunday and definite for siena and the cl final.
 
This time totti has gone too far. There is no room for racism in this sport.

Balo claims Totti racially abused him

Inter striker Mario Balotelli claims Francesco Totti racially abused him during Wednesday's Coppa Italia Final at the Stadio Olimpico.

Totti was sent off late in the game after he viciously kicked Balotelli from behind, sparking outrage across Italy.

Yesterday Totti claimed Balotelli apologised for his actions but added that Balotelli insulted him and the city of Rome.

Quoted in this morning's La Gazzetta dello Sport, Balotelli fought back, alleging that Totti used racist terms to insult him.

Balotelli's agent, Mino Raiola, then followed up the claims by saying: “Mario has sworn that he didn't offend anyone.

“He only admitted to having said: 'Stop kicking me, don't act like a child, we're playing football'. Nothing more.

“Then Totti did the rest. For me, whoever is racist is ignorant. For a premeditated gesture it would take a six-month suspension. In Brazil there are also arrests for racist acts.

“What should Juan now say to his captain? Totti must manage this ugly event with caution.

“Mario and I want to quickly turn the page. The fight against racism needs important contributions and it would be wonderful if Francesco were to do his part, hopefully with Roma's support. It would be the best way to close the incident.”

Writing in this morning's Il Corriere dello Sport, Totti admitted making a mistake, but further questioned Balotelli's temperament.

“During the game he had a provocative attitude towards my team-mates and this also happened in the past against us.

“Remember the backbiting at Panucci or what happened with Mexes, or the celebration under the Curva? All this, always from the same player, in almost all the Italian grounds and also in Europe and this is probably one of the reasons for which he has not been well accepted in his own squad and is always seen by other clubs or by the national team as a disturbing element.

“Sure, I was wrong in committing a foul, but I am always the first to recognise my errors. Hearing an absolute beginner, but nevertheless someone with great gifts, repeatedly offending my fans, my city, my sense of belonging to Rome, as well as me personally, telling me that I am finished is unbearable.”

wow why is it always balotelli's arguement end up with Racism? If I'm correct in the last few years everytime he gets into trouble he defends himself with Rasicm, saying the people are racist etc...

Well he is partly right. Some elements of the crowds that due abuse him are racist who use his bad attitude as an excuse to abuse. The majority of the abuse isn't racist but because he is an idiot.

But totti has an even worse disciplinary record than mario. 9 red cards for roma since 2000. He is know to lose his temper quite easily. We also have to remember the spitting incident against paulsen at euro 2004. Then there are also the 2 gestures after the derbies with lazio this year.

Mario is no angel but that doesn't excuse totti if he did what the claims say he did.
 
So we go down to the last game of the season. If we beat already relegated siena we are serie a champs if we don't we don't deserve to win lo scudetto. Hopefully lucio is back, I don't trust matrix in the defence. Wes should be back for that game.

Hopefully chievo give roma a difficult game in verona like they did to us at san siro today.
 
Oh man if Italy has Cannarvro and Chiellini in defence I think Italy will be outta the WC in the first round with the defending these two has been doing... :(

Chielini is still ok. His problem for both italy and juve is he has to try and make up for cannavaro's problems. Can't really do much out the cb situation since ranocchia,santacroce and gamberini are injured and nesta unavailable for internationals. The midfield and strikers worry me more. Motta should have been picked, yeah he is brazilian born but he is elligible and a much better choice then the likes of camorenesi and gattuso. As for the strikers 2 of miccoli,cassano and mario should have been there. This squad lacks creativity and will be exposed.

Worst italian squad for years.

You mean the in studio panel?? No that's not me. That's Stefano but I do know Stefano. Stefano is the president of the local Inter 100 South Africa club which I am a member of. Only official inter fan club in the country.
 
Agreed with Cassano should be there... and wtf is Gattuso doing in the team?
 
I'll be honest, I haven't really watched Italian Football much since the mid-90's. I am a Sampdoria fan. Haven't watched them play at all this season. How good is the current squad stefan and are they in any sort of realistic contention for silverware again? I know they have some good young players coming through, but will they be good enough and can Samp hold onto them?

This side is a good top 6 side. I don't they can win serie a or cl but they can win coppa italia.

They could have problems if they lose marotta to juve, he is their sports director and great at working the transfer market on a small budget.

Samp are still a selling club, getting into cl will allow them to keep more of their players. But they will still sell if a big offer comes.

I especially like their young midfielder polli.

Yes, Andrea Poli is a very good player as is Angelo Polombo who I'm told is wanted by Chelsea.
 
And the biggest open secret is official. Milan will be looking for a new manager, expect tassoti or van basten.

Official: Leonardo will leave Milan

Milan have announced that Leonardo will leave the club after the last game of the season against Juventus tomorrow.

It's no secret that Leonardo wanted to leave San Siro after just one campaign.

The Brazilian is believed to want to spend more time with his family who still live in Rio de Janeiro.

His relationship with Milan patron Silvio Berlusconi has also become strained in recent months.

Earlier in May, Leonardo revealed his belief that they were 'perhaps incompatible'.

Speaking at a Press Conference, Leonardo said: “It's all very clear, we have come to the end.

“We met this morning and made a decision.”

Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani then hastened to add that he has yet to find a replacement.

“Up until today Milan have not contacted any Coach; there is time. It was already agreed that Tassotti would take charge of the team on tour set for July 12.

“There is no urgency. We have not made any kind of decision on the future.”

Juve fans will be revealed that this season is over. Another loss 3-0 vs a poor milan side. Great final game for leo. Lazio end the season with a 3-1 win vs udinese. So now if results go the way they want it tomorrow they will be celebrating. Di natale got another goal so he will end top goal scorer.
 
The boys had me nervious for a bit but I knew eventually siena would break. Brilliant run from zanetti to setup milito. We should have won by a bigger margin but the important thing was the win. Well done to samp on getting the 4th cl spot.
