I reckon Juve will do well this time round. They have had very good transfer dealings so far. What's your pick for the top spots this time round stefan9? Inter and Juve haave both improved their squads - Milan have done nothing and Fiorentina have lost out on Felipe Melo... Should be interesting...
Juve will be closer this season but Inter will still take it. We still have more depth in the squad compared to juve. Juve have improved their first 11 so the two first teams are very close now but inter's second string is still much better. I also expect inter to bring in 1 more creative player before August 31.
The other 2 cl spots are wide open. If I were a milan fan I would be very very worried at the moment of making the cl. Napoli and Genoa have both strengthened a lot and roma won't have another shocker like last season.

Nah - I cn't see Roma having a good season. They haven't been too busy in the transfer market and I just don't like the look of their squad. I agree that Milan fans should worry - I mean they are looking atrocious. They seriously need some energy in that team of theirs. Is it any wonder that the only person doing well is Pato? Though Ronaldinho is showing signs of his genius - he is no where near the level of a couple of years back.
The problem is pato is one player. Flamini should do well this season. But their defense looks very shaky, if nesta doesn't stay fit the whole season which he hasn't done for 3 seasons they will have big issues. In midfield none of gattuso,pirlo,seedorf or ronaldiniho are the players they use to be.
Berlusconi seems unwilling to spend due to political reasons so they are stuck with this squad even though leonardo says its not good enough.

He should he has been one of the their best players pre season. But we will only see on august 22 what leonardo intends.

@ stefan9 - are you happy with your Inter squad? Some people think Inter did very good business getting rid of Ibrahimovic for cash + Eto and Hleb.
I disagree with you on Roma though, they seem to be slowly imploding and I think they are going to lose some of their stars like Aquilani and de Rossi. Juve have improved, and I think they have a better coach than when they started last season. Milan IMHO are finished, they should be happy if they make the Europa league. Lazio (my team) I hope do well, they need sort out their rebels first though, but let's hope Ballardini makes his mark.

I am 99% happy. Hleb chose not to join so we got €5 million more. He wanted a guaranteed starting spot. If we sign either cassano or a creative midfielder or both I will be very happy.
De rossi won't be sold. Let me clarify what I said about roma, I said they will be better than last season. They won't finish in the top 2. I really think the last 2 cl spots are wide open. Any two of milan,napoli,genoa,fiorentina,palermo,lazio or roma can take it.
Also Lazio are my second team. The two sets of fans inter and lazio have always had close ties. Going to be a good game on the 8th for the super cup.

I hope Cassano joins Inter, I think it may just be what they both need. If he plays well for Inter hopefully Lippi will give him a chance.
Good luck for the Super Cup, we now have a certain Cruz missile with a point to prove...
We will see. The guy has the talent. But Lippi doesn't like and it will cost us a lot. I am still hopefull to see at Inter come August 31.

If Lippi wants to win anything, he needs to stop talking about cycles and start performing. Italy was shocking at the confed cup, yes fitness was a problem, but ability or rather the lack of it was an even bigger problem. Cassano is no panacea but he would be a start.
I heard Deco being mentioned as an Inter play maker, which is disappointing. Sneidjer was also talked about, I do rate him highly, but Cassano would be my preferred choice, because if he can work with Mou, then he can work with anyone...

Is that because they were always considered the relative second-best in their respective cities?
Aquilani is a great talent but is made of glass. Can't stay fit . Will struggle in the more physical epl if lfc really does buy him.
