Being 13 points behind at the half way stage is failing, inter historicly do not play well in serie a from jan to march, we build up our leads from october to december. Also finishing second in a poor cl group is not good enough. Failing to beat atletico in the european super cup.

Also he is lying.

Benitez is lying according to gazetta dello sport journo Nicholas Cecere. Moratti tried to take kuyt,mascherano and others but found the prices excessive. He then asked rafa if its fine if we stay with coutinho and biabany. Rafa said yes.

So rafa now shifting the blame is just wrong if he had accepted it and didn't ask moratti to then try for other players.

well if you remember, he did a similar rant after the loss to ac milan in the cl final in 2007, one month later, torres was on his way to liverpool.

Hardly. About 50 people who showed up at the airport were. Hardly representative of the ultras.

All polls on the different inter forums around the web are pretty much in agreement that he should go, english and italian forums.
 
Amazing previous managers did just fine with the support they got at Inter.

Then again when you consider the 60 million Rafa spent on Keane, Aqualini(crocked at the time) and Glen Johnson I don't blame Moratti for watching his wallet
 
look, i don't deny he is part of the problem. He needs a break from the game, the ex owners of liverpool and media in england have made him a bit bitter and reactive. He feels he is not getting the support from the top and he is reacting to it instead of just keeping quiet and getting on with it.

There is one thing that can't be denied, he can win inter trophies, he has proven it with other clubs. He has the ability.

You also mention that coming second in the group is not good enough yet you still in it and still have the chance to win it. If you do win it or just make it to the final, it wouldn't matter where you came in the group. Rafa did it with liverpool in 2005 after coming second in the group. Anythings possible stefan.
 
Coming second in a good group like mou did last year is different to coming second in a poor group and getting embarased by spurs and werder.
 
The CL is UEFA's b!tch to rape for glorious profits and TV rights.

Everybody remember's the winner's and the trophies that come with. Nobody will give a toss if the team loses group games. Its winning the final that counts.

Inter won't give him 7 years like lfc did. Papers are saying he is done for and has been since the derby loss. The only question is who the replacement will be, favorite seems to be luciano spaletti.

As an inter manager. I have experienced both. Also bear in mind hodgson didn't inherit a treble winning squad when he was at inter.

Yes beating the mighty mazembe and seon, massive achievement. He has already lost more games then mou did last season, already conceded more goals in the cl then we did the entire last season in the cl.

He is failing in the competition that matter. Serie a and cl is what matters the other competitions are mickey mouse cups. Managers at inter are judged on serie a and cl.
