For those interested season starts saturday with the super coppa. Inter vs Milan in beiing live 14:00 on rai. League officially starts 27 August.

Milan should be favorites for the super coppa, they will have their full squad while gasperini with the exception of j.cesar and zanetti are resting the players who took part in the coppa america.

Hmmmm I dunno both Milan and Inter looking rather depleted so early on... Juve on the other hand are starting to gel and play better...

Juve have done decently in the market( no super stars but good solid players) but still have to say how conte does. Will he be another ferraro/leonardo or will he do a pep??

Still to early to call anything with a month of mercato to go.

Ye they still need another left winger to fill Nedved's void...

Wel done to milan. We were better in the fist half but for some reason gasp decided to change to a 4-4-1-1 from the 3-5-1-1 after ht and we fell away in the first 20 of the second half.

Ref wasn't good both gattuso and motta deserved red( rino when it was still 0-0 and motta when it was 2-1) and he missed a clear boateng foul on stankovic in the buildup to the milan equaliser.

Still no major worries, its only a glorified friendly and we were without our coppa america player.

We lost ibra and won a treble...;)

Players come and they go, the club will still remain strong.

Difference is you lost Ibra and gained Eto which in my mind benefited Inter by 100000 times :D

Inter better pull a spook this season! New coach giving me anxiety though..

Good news , ss has serie a now as well. Not sure what the coverage will be like. Expect the late saturday and sunday games but anything else maybe be wishfull thinking. Still good to have ss and rai showing serie a.

SuperSport snaps up Serie A rights

19 August 2011, 12:17

SuperSport’s football offering has just got even better with the acquisition of broadcast rights for Italy’s Serie A.

The world’s five biggest leagues are now all in the World of Champions’ bouquet, with Serie A now sitting alongside the English Premiership, Bundesliga, La Liga and the French championship.

Serie A is ranked among Europe’s top leagues, producing the highest number of European Cup finalists and showcasing the skills of star players Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Andrea Pirlo, Gianluigi Buffon, Wesley Sneijder, the strong Brazilian “colony” featuring Maicon,Thiago Silva, Robinho and Alexander Pato, the recent Uruguayan Copa America Champions Edison Cavani, together with international African football stars of the calibre of AC Milan’s Kevin Prince Boateng and Udinese’s Asamoah.

A delighted Brandon Foot, who heads up SuperSport’s legal and acquisitions department, said this move cemented SuperSport’s status as the best provider of football content on the continent.

“We are very proud of our offering and the acquisition of Serie A reaffirms our commitment to football, the favourite sport in Africa. Teams like Juventuz, Milan and Internazionale are world-famous and we are thrilled to bring them to our loyal subscribers.”

Super sports 2 games for next weekend are sat 20:45 cagliari - milan and sunday 20:45 inter - lecce, both on super sport 7.

Roma looking very fragile after selling over 60% of their players... couldn't even beat Slovan Bratislava at home...

No serie a this weekend, players strike goes ahead. They are playing friendlies though just refusing to play official games. So inter will play chievo in a friendly and not lecce in serie a.

Idiots. They are refusing because 2 conditions , they want the clubs to not have the ability to force out of favor players to train apart from the group and the clubs have to pay for the collective fund (retirement/injury fund), they don't want to contribute at all.

At this rate enrique won't last till jan. He has already fallen out with totti and that spells doom for him.
