Series holidays suck

Whats with everyone taking holidays at the same time? All my favorite series have stopped for this dumb ass break :(

If you really want to get the viewer ratings you should run your series through this time period while no one else is showing other stuff and everyone is bored outta their minds.

Im not sure... Gary is the guru on this one. SGU, V, Fringe, Supernatural, The Big Bang Theory, Sanctuary and The Vampire Diaries... have all stopped :(

Right now I am downloading season 2 of Merlin (the new BBC series)... its half assed okay, but its not filling all my entertainment needs.
 
The new Scrubs started on Tuesday so I doubt they will be taking breaks anytime soon. Pity it sucks though:(

I think they do it to keep the ratings up - too many people doing holiday stuff over the period so they show a lot of reruns. I think another reason they do it is to keep the even longer summer hiatus shorter.

At least we have the return of Lost and other series to look forward to.
 
I personally am breathless in anticipation of my 30th rewatching of The Goonies.
 
Series breaks are movie catch up times, you time to catch up on great movies that have been reviewed by many to make your choice so much easier.
 
Yeah time-tested classics. I find you spot a lot of details on multiple viewings - hitherto unnoticed shrubbery for instance.

The Big Bang Theory E10 is on the 07/12 and E11 on the 14/12.

American TV is silly sometimes. They just miss weeks whenever they feel like.

I decided to get myself a few new books, couldn't read a lot this year seeing that I had to study.. I gave up on series and movies, going old school ftw:>
 
Apparently it's got to do with sport too ..... dunno how accurate that is though?

I actually like the new one, for me Season 7+8 were disappointing compared to earlier seasons. Plus that Aus chick is fine.
 
That's why you should always have a complete season as a backup to keep yourself busy during the festive season :)

Agreed.

The new series is a lot better than I expected it to be. I do think they should have rather created a spin off show, then call it 'med students' and remove the name scrubs.
