Anyone in business running fair sized IT shops know about SLAs with ISPs etc.

With the move to home working and the increased reliance on home connectivity, are any of the domestic or FTTH providers offering any SLAs other than the one termed 'Best Effort'?

Unfortunately not. It's either a best effort with FTTH or going with a business service from the likes of DFA etc. Cheaper alternative is to get yourself a backup solution like 5G/4G or even a local WISP - you'll easily get something for R1k, which is cheaper than a FTTB with SLA. Nothing, not even a SLA with punitive clauses, beats having a failover when things go down.
