I was recently in the UK and my uncle decided that he wanted to upgrade from dial up to ADSL. So we did a little online shopping and found a 512kb 30gig/per month download package from Tiscali for 15.99 pounds a month ( 1 pound more than he was paying for sh1tty AOL dial-up) So we order the ADSL on a Sunday. A few minutes later we received an email to confirm our order and that the line would be installed and operational within 15 days ( not business days..just 15 days!) on the Wednesday we received another email informing us that they had encountered a problem with the ADSL installation but that it had been resovled and that the line would be operational soon. The following monday ( just 1 week after ordering the ADSL) we received another email from Tiscali telling us that the line had been installed and is ready for use and that our modem and software will be arriving in the post in 1-2 days. On Tuesday the modem etc arrived!!! so we plugged it all in,installed the modem driver etc and away we went!! not only did all this happen in 8days, but we connect at 2.3 mbps not 512kb. so we get extra speed!! how awesome. I had sustained speeds of 270KB/per sec.Mind blowing, but the cherrie on top goes to this email which Tiscali sent my unlce yesterday ( please note his ADSL has only been installed for 3 weeks!!).
