I need to take my car in for a service next week in Cape Town. 90000kms, 2005 350z, no service plan. I'm finding it difficult to decide exactly where to go. My choices are:
- Nissan dealership
- Bosch service centre
- Private mechanic who's worked on cars like mine before (has been recommended by others on the Nissan forum)
What are the pros and cons of each? I expect the Nissan dealership to be the most expensive. I prefer the private mechanic, but would this affect resale value? Bosch service centre would be an inbetween choice. My main concern with the Nissan dealership and Bosch service centre is that some newbie with no experience on servicing 350z's will work on my car. My car has been running great so I just need the standard check-up and service and I'm afraid of someone screwing with the car, thus giving me problems in future. The dealership and Bosch guys probably work mostly on the lower range cars like Tida's etc.
