Session disconnects

The problem started Friday evening and we were told that it wouldn't be fixed over the weekend. So by my calculations this makes it a 60 hour outage, give or take an hour.
I think this outage should be reported to the media.
 
Ok, I'm reading this @ work @ the mo :( So is alles back online, I mean the network is up and running fine - no disconnects once you hit 1meg dload speed? Please guys, give me info, wish I was home to test - give me the precious lol
 
All working good now, still not getting the speeds I want with 4 bar signal, but hey at least it's staying up :rolleyes:

Oh no, nothings changed. Can we really contact the media....hmmm we have the Daily News here in Durbs.

yep. busy grabbing a debian dvd iso to check and running ok.

Amazing how one person/persons can frack up a beautiful relationship hey :( I mean I was simply in love with my Neo Prime connection since I got it on the 05/02. Even though there was 'hanging' service or intermittent line drops, I ignored this and continued.

And then some imbecile goes and plays with the network - unsupervised and now the love is lost.

Well, you can win our hearts back Neotel....
 
I had up to about 9 disconnects on Saturday afternoon of which 7 were in the space of 5 mins. But I see the Neotel rep says it has been sorted.
 
How is the speeds of the connection now? I am at work and can't test but would really like to know if I am going to be happy after work.

I have a few qeustions
1) What caused the network issues ?
2) How was it resolved (be specific we are computer and broadband literate on this forum) ?
3) How many technicians were assigned to the case ?
4) Why did you take so long to respond ?
5) Who was in charge of the repairations to the network and when did the person in charge start working on the network ?
6) how many complaints were recieved by the call centre ?

If you choose not to answer publicly on the forum, i will assume that all neotel staff were having a good time over the weekend and once they got in on monday morning it was a quick fix. This assumption is made based on the fact that you started a new thread this morning and by midday everything is running right (clever way of taking emphasis off the weekend thread with all the complaints).
 
Seems Fine now, no more disconnects in Midrand.
I'm doing a sppedtest now and posting in degredation thread.
 
I just got home now. Mine is still disconnecting!

Im connected to the Wyberg station in Cape Town.

EDIT:
tried again, and its working. perhaps it was just old Neptune saying "I saw you had a nice time in traffic, hows about some internet disconnection for desert".

hopefully it carries on working.
