At work we have 2 pc's, one with windows 7, and the other windows xp. Both are connected via a router, then to a modem to the internet.(hope I described it right:D). Now sometimes at home I need some files which is on the work pc's. I just need a simple way of connecting to the work pc's via internet at home. I also have adsl at home so speed is'nt a problem.

What can you recommend?

Look at some sort of OpenVPN based system. You can try set up another machine with something like Untangle, or see if your router has a VPN built in....

Wait so you using dial up at the office ? Or do you have an always on ADSL modem ?

What kind of router is at the office, as said above, some provide VPN support so you could just connect to the router and then copy the files from a PC.
