I have an employee that travels alot overseas. I would like to setup email on his laptop where he access it from anywhere. His current client is microsoft outlook.

Problem : As an older empployee who doesnt want to change settings with every different connection.(cant teach an old dog new tricks)

Is there a way to configure outlook to send/receive mail through whatever medium(wifi,3g,dsl) without having to constantly change smtp settings with each and every connection. Any help or advice would help, am a feeling a bit stumped here

It will work, uses https traffic. You just need to configure your exchange server to support rpc/https. Will require a reboot of exchange server.

Doesn't your hosting company provide you with a SMTP server with your domain? (I'm taking for granted that you have a domain name for the business / email and you're not using a telkomsa etc account)

Have you tried mail.yourdomainname ?

+2 for RPC / http.. as long as he has an internet connection, this would work.
