I have the iBurst USB modem. My friend has cancelled his iBurst and gone to ADSL. He has given me his Desktop Modem. Is there a way that I can get my account setup on both modems? Can you do the setup yourself, or do iBurst have to do it.

I like having the USB modem when I am on the move, but it would be nice to use the desktop modem at home, and be able to use the airport on my mac to access the desktop modem, instead of having the modem connected by a cable to my machine.

Hi there

Please contact the sales desk. They will be able to assist you in getting your 2 devices onto one account. Their number is 087 720 2020.

Any hassles please drop me a call.

Thanks Shaun, will give them a shout

Concurrent connections

I'm curious...can I have two modems on one account with both active at the same time?

That is because the second device is on his Buddies account.

Thanks

In that vein I have another question. I work with an ex-iburst employee that told me it is technically possible to run more than 2 modems on the same account. He's just not sure if company policy will allow this. I currently have 2 modems on my account, sharing just fine. My contract expired a while ago, and on renewal I have a choice of receiving another modem, gift voucher etc. If I renew my contract, and choose another modem, will I be able to use all 3 simultaneously? (I'm thinking of using 2 modems at home, combined using a device that'll give me an effective 2 Mb/s, and one at work.)

Hi there

There is a limitation of 2 devices per account.

If you want to use your third device at the office you will be required to get another contract for that device.
