Hi,
Im very new to the whole IVR VOIP thing...
How would i go about setting up a server that would allow me to Automatically dial out to my clients,
Present them with a few options(kinda like voicemail, press 1 for this... press 2 for this...) depending on what they select.
And record these options.

I can do the db interaction... but i kno nothing about setting up the server, software, etc. from what ive read so far... asterisk, free switch, yate, might be a good start.

But lets say i got a server(Core 2 Duo, 2Ghz) and the software, where to next.

If you are completely new to VoIP then i would suggest you get Triixbox and install it on your server. Its a distro dedicated to Asterisk and its a good starting point to get a basic system up and running. Its even got IVR features that are a couple of mouse clicks to setup.

thanks Ambo.

Do you have any expertese in setting up something similair to what we require?
Ill deff try try trixbox... but if we require any assistance, could you help us out?

Also... if we can set it up. what sort of hardware? connections? ect? do we need?
