Setting up Telkom Business Hosting

Hi all.

So my dad tells me that "the lady" at telkom told him that he gets free hosting with telkom when signing up for a business adsl bundle. He gave them the domain name that he wanted.

Now my question is, how do we go about setting this up.

i.e Do we activate the domain name? If so, how?

And if it is already activated, how do we access it via ftp, etc...

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Hi,

To activate the domain name Telkom would more than likely do that for you. Your dad needs to confirm with them if the domain is registered.

If so then they would also have emailed him login details or seeing as it's Telkom maybe sent it in the post?
It would provide login details to their control panel,etc where I'm sure you could start designing your website using Wordpress or Joomla, etc. dependent on the plan they are providing. You'd probably also get receive defautl ftp login details or set it up within their control panel.

Why not ask your dad or yourself give them a call and confirm if they can give you those details etc.
