Setumo Mohapi is the Sentech CEO.
Dr. Setumo Mohapi was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer with effect from 1 November 2010. A veteran in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) sector, Dr. Mohapi has worked at various companies in the sector including his preceding position as the Chief Operating Officer of IWAYAFRICA, a subsidiary of the Telkom Group in Mauritius.
He also served as the Chief Technical Officer of ICT-Works as well as Senior Manager, International Wholesale Products and Solutions at Neotel.
Dr. Mohapi’s academic standing includes a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering and computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), a Masters degree in electrical engineering also obtained for MIT and a PhD in electrical engineering (telecommunications) from Wits.
