SEVERE connection problems

Due to the weather today (apparently), my connection went a bit wild.

Did anyone else experience this, especially while connecting to tower 82? The wind and lightning seemed to wreak havoc!
 
My first day on a wireless connection - disconnected four times, and since about 19:00 no signal, just lights bouncing up and down. Not a great start...
 
I connect to 82 (Radiokop) and it's been pretty good for me all day. Had a weekend in connectionless hell, but today it's been fine.

It was up for a short while (maybe 30 minutes), the lights doing their running up and down christmas light effect again. When it was up signal was sitting at 15% (down from 17 - 20). I must confess, I ain't terribly impressed by Sentech's offering thus far. Yes, it is nice to surf 24/7 but to have a disruption every couple of hours, and no connection at night...

Thank goodness for my ISDN - I can see myself exercising the seven day escape clause if it doesn't improve.
 
i was connected to tower 82 :( now i can't connect.

Woodmead tower 82 is down i have logged a call and have switched back to our 64k line yipee !![:I]

Anybody else having this problem :
I can see the last post detail in "Active Topics" was 8:09 by Kaptain Khaos. If I drop into this thread, the last one I see, is 07:48 by KK.
Been seeing this randomly, but frequently

Passif, if you want to do that please don't hesitate to let me know.

Alternatively, they can halt your contract until your signal improves, but it's up to you.
 
The time difference issues

This often happens when somone edits an existing post. The forum thinks you made a new post and so updates the indexes. In reality the person just made and addition/correction to an earlier posting.

I've decided to give it until Thursday to see if / when things improve as I realise I may just have gotten the install at a very inopportune time (what with the weather and all).
 
in my experience the weather doesn't affect the connection that drastically... we didn't have any drop in signal at home yesterday with the bad weather in Jhb...

so chuck that idea out the window...

Makes total sense (now) [^] , seeing that KK has an "update" in the post preceding my question.
 
still down and no word from Sentech, customer support rocks !! Knowing my luck they will tell me that they have reset the distance on the towers and can no longer get service !!

I'm useing Sentech Mywireless at work in Midrand, For the past 2 days only getting a "Remote computer does not respond" message used to connect to tower 66 now only showing tower 22 with the anoying "Remote computer does not respond" message.. I NEED THE CONNECTION TO WORK TO DO MY JOB.. Sentech support is no use and they are there to HELP but the definition they have for HELP is obviously different than mine.. Very Frustrated at Present!!
 
tower 82 (woodmead) is back online, they are still having issues with the authentication server. i was not told how long it would be before its working. Sentech promised to phone me when its working and im not holding my breathe.
