SF Unlocks

How do these work? I've picked up and used SF weapons in the original BF2, but I can't unlock them on my account. Do you have to buy SF in order to be able to unlock these weapons?

Also, do you get "free" unlocks with SF? I ask because there are people with a lower rank than me who have a lot more weapons unlocked, which is a bit wierd.

AFAIK the new patch allows you to unlock SF weapons if you reach a promotion.

they are listed within my BFHQ class lists but i have to get a promotion to be able to unlock them even if i dont have SF.
 
Useless, I have the first medic unlock, but when I got promoted recently, I looked for the medic G36 (the heckler and koch one) but it was not in the list of possible unlocks.

thisgeek, thanks, looks like I will "have" to go and buy SF to get access to these unlocks as well as to get some free unlocks.
 
Not really - if you know someone with SF, go play it, or get them to play for you - score a point or two, and then logout. You'll have your unlocks, then.
 
weird... i can see the G36 from the medic class but dont have points to unlock it... maybe i should play for a change till 20k and get it.

ok, killadoob helped me out. I will see what the situation is tonight when I can log on.

Now I can't shoot him when I see him on the other team ;)

Whats with the whole theme of teamkilling in |WRG| anyway? Maybe you can explain TG?
 
Maybe I should join |WrG|.... my application will go as follows:

The other day I was on the machinegun of a tank while my buddy was driving. I saw an enemy tank and, convinced my buddy would get blown up, I jumped out. Running left, my spidy sense told me to turn around. I promptly did and saw someone planting c4 on said buddy's tank. I hastily blew them away with my shiny new PKM unlock. To cries of dismay from my buddy. It was HIM planting c4 on his own tank... apparently he wanted to park it by the flag and use it to lure enemies in. (how effective this strategy would have been... we will never know)

To top it off, he punished me... Thats what I get for trying to stop some pesky spec ops from blowing him up. Sheesh.

Maybe we should BOTH join |WrG| ;p
 
sounds like the hectic pace of war... but he shouldnt have punished you... buddies hey? :rolleyes:
 
You dont have to be in WrG to tk :P

I seem to get it right a hellof a lot after a few beers lol

btw , If you have SF , you get double teh number of unlocks than normal
