Shaik set to be released

The accuser must have been paid off quite handsomely in exchange for his silence.

Yeah well If this makes me a Male version of Marine1.

He will now rent out the whole golf course to avoid being harrased.

Jacob Zuma just pulling another favour for his buddy... so what's new?

Still no questions about the terminality of his illness? This whole matter is just so goddamned offensive it's almost difficult to believe it's real.

Schabir Shaik, whose parole is in the balance, was heading today for release from Westville Prison as his accuser refused to tell officials of a punch-up in a mosque car park.

Dear Correctional Services officials ,

Did y'all completely miss the fact that he also assaulted a journalist ? There was a photographer present with the journalist during the incident who can corroborate the allegations. Why do you not talk to them?

Why risk having to re-arrest a political hot potato when you can take the easier route and still appear to have done something?

blu - you are being rational, and applying a clear mind, using logic, and common sense.

These are not things that Correctional Services are renowned for.

Idiots.

Very entertaining this story. Just like an action movie, we react the same way.
In the beginning we are shown the character and his situation.
In the middle we start to realize what the ending will be, but hope against all hope that it does not follow the same old path that every other action movie follows. We fantasize up all sorts of wild endings, or twists. (read as news reports giving us hope that he might have his parole violation keep him in the chooky)
Then the ending hits us and we go..
aw ****, same thing again.

I am so over thinking that justice can prevail in this place.

Zapiro needs to do a Shaik+Zuma justice cartoon.

That they are idiots is a given :)

I am confused though: the way I understood it has been that he was only ever going to be imprisoned for 72 hours - it was never going to be longer.

Whether something specific had to be achieved in the 72 hours, I am not sure, because if that was the case they could have spoken to the journalist who was assaulted, instead of the man who refused to cooperate.
