I have two family members that suffer from Essential Tremor. It's especially noticeable when they lift/drink from a cup or eat from a utensil. Both have been through therapy and meds but unfortunately, it only got worse over time. Your best bet is to see a doctor asap and treat while still at an early stage.
So everyone has a tremor.

I've been diagnosed with essential tremor. It's usually noticeable with:
1. Lack of sleep
2. Too much coffee
3. Hangovers

I've had it for over twenty years now and thankfully it hasn't gotten any worse and the neurologist said it was mild enough to not require any medication.

I agree with what all the others have said: at minimum see a doctor.

And ask the doctor if he feels that you should be referred to a neurologist.

There are over a 100 (I kid you not) possible causes for your tremors, hence the need for a specialist diagnosis.

This is the best advise. Start with a GP then a neurologist. I did this many years ago and the comfort of knowing is worth it (it wasn't all that expensive - if that's a concern).

Please go to a pharmacist and ask for some OTC beta blockers and see how that goes for you.
My plan is to say my hands are shaking and the doc recommended some low dosage beta blockers and they will give me something...

Drink more until they look steady?
They steady af now. Rock Paper Scissors, Point with index finger, middle finger, thumbs up, bear claw.
Hands don’t move...
Make coffee or try and get the key into the hole and then it shakes.

You might be lucky - or not.

This is not something that I suggest that you mess with.

Well we tried to help.

Tremors can also he caused by heart disease. PS, my sister in law would still be alive today if she had received the correct medical diagnoses. Instead she passed away suddenly in her early 30's from something that was preventable.

It's the lack of caffeine.

I have coffee every day of my life, if I skip a day I start shaking.

Also make sure you use freshly ground beans.
Caffeine is the one thing I've never develop a chemical dependency to. I can go from 4 cups a day to 0 cups overnight, with zero withdrawal symptoms.

You have got to be ****ing joking?!?

Why would a doctor recommend you get and OTC drug and not prescribe the right thing to begin with? The pharmacist will see through you like a glass door.

You realise that a beta blocker comes with it's own set of side effects and possible interactions with other drugs etc.

Grow a pair and go see a doctor. Why on earth are you scared of them? Did one touch you inappropriately once?

The bottom line is that OP should not self-diagnose nor self-medicate. Get a proper medical exam/diagnosis done @Ghost64

Doc misdiagnosed her?

It seems so. However, she had a very rare heart condition that the average doctor would probably not have picked up. A rare heart murmur. He put her on meds, but she passed away 3 months later in her sleep. With a pacemaker she would still be alive today.
