Shared Price Calls - What is this?

Hi Cell C.

What the hell is this? I noticed my Cell C bill total is almost R100 more than normal. Then I check it out, and I have this line of R83.34, with over 36 minutes' worth of usage... :wtf::wtf::wtf:



Please advise what this is. Is it some sort of hidden cost?

EDIT: And DEFINITELY not 36 minutes' worth, if there was one or two, it would be a few minutes at most.

OK so it was a 0860 number - to Standard Bank. 0860 treated the same as 0861?

When I was still on Vodacom's contract, ShareCalls weren't included in the free minutes.

Sharecall is only applicable when phoning from a landline as far as I'm aware much as 0800 is only toll free when you're on Telkom landline.

Cellc I THE ONLY network in SA that charges extra for this. Share call means both parties pays half half for the call so why does Cellc charge extra for it it's not premium rated and all the other networks deduct from free minutes and promotional minutes unless if it's a premium rated number with premium rates.

I raised this concern when Cellc launched it's epic contracts.

On Cellc prepaid 66c per minute the number gets charged 66c per minute but on a contract you get charged like R1.50 per minute to 0860, 0861 and 0800 numbers.

Worse than MTN that charges for control plane data for LTE....
