Hi guys,

Is this possible as posted above?

We've been waiting for our ADSL line install for 5 months, while our neighbours already have those. Is it possible to connect our modem up to their line? Or can you only have two connections from the same modem?

Telkom says there's a problem at the exchange and it could take days, weeks or even months to sort out, so we're looking for alternative solutions in the mean time.

Many thanks,
E

Bridging

Thanks guys,

Can you give me a little bit more info on bridging? I've had a look through my ADSL modem config (Billion 7202GR2) and can't quite figure everything out. For one, I can't find where I would enter my username and password, or specify which connection should be bridged to (or receive the bridged connection).

Does that make sense?

For example, as I understand it, it goes for my neighbour:
Line --> Modem --> Network on ports 1, 2, 3
Line --> Modem --> 7202 on port 4 --> Our network

Where is the username and password specified, their modem or the 7202?

Thanks,
Henning
