Sharing internet connection...

Scenario...

PC 1 connected to Neotel account
PC 1 has wireless network card
PC 2 (laptop) connects (via wireless) to router which PC 1 is connected too.

How can I set this PC up that PC 2 can use the internet connection on PC 1.

Both PC's are XP.
 
Network Connections -> Setup home or small office network. The rest is pretty self explanatory. You'll have to run it on both machines, if memory serves.
 
How is neotel gdi, can you ping google for me and tell what the ping is and then ping myadsl.co.za as well please.

Right click the internet connection on PC1, select 'share internet connection with others on network'?
 
I tried the network wizard on both and it didn't work ;)

The difference could be because my network has static IPs. So once I selected 'share this connection', it came up with a warning that it'll assign a new address for that NIC - which I said yes too.

Then I went back to that NIC and changed it back to what it was. Bingo

Still can't get this damn laptop to connect to the internet which is connected on PC 1 (going through the wireless router that we are both connected too)

All PC's can see each other now...

I've shared the connection out on PC 1 and PC 2 can't connect still.

I think it might be the router where the problem comes in but I'm only guessing here.
 
For those interested.
I was right... it was the router, I turned DHCP off, set the IP's on the PC's and bam, it all worked.
 
Check your DNS Settings. Set your Primary DNS to PC1's IP.

If that doesn't work then use OpenDNS. The IPs are:

Primary: 208.67.222.222
Secondary: 208.67.220.220
