Sharing Laptop Internet Connection with iPad

Hi Guys

Please assist I have been trying to share my internet connection with my laptop for days now with no success. I am on windows 7.

I have tried installing Connectify which allows my PC to act like a hot spot and have enabled internet sharing on my local area connection. But I keep on getting "error connecting to HTTP proxy"

I did mention in my post above that I have shared my local area connection

What he means is, instead of using Connectify, use the built-in windows internet sharing options to do it.

I have tried that. What I did was setup wifi adhoc connection then I enabled internet connection on my vodafone mobile connection where I chose Wireless Network connection for Home Networking Connection. iPad connects fine to wifi connection but only if it is adhoc open(no security) but still internet doesn't work, when its WEP/WAP it fails to connect after I insert password on iPad.
