Shark attack deaths

Yay! Fulcrum got it!

Thanks for saving my ar$e from killa there! :D

No i get that we are fair game, but it's not what they want to eat. Mistaken identity is not fair game. Fair game is climbing into the ocean knowing sharks want to eat us.

Lol I always think about sharks when swimming in the sea. I blame the people who made jaws.

Hopefully that statistic doesn't change tomorrow when I'll be in a cage saying hello to a few of them off the coast of Gansbaai...

That's a pretty awesome site.

Edit: Using that site go look for the shark Mary Lee. She's a 3,457 pound (~1.5 ton :wtf:) Great White that has been cruising the American Atlantic costline.

The biggest tagged White in our waters is Maureen. She's 2,239 pounds (~1 ton) and since she was tagged in May of this year she's been from the Cape up to Mozambique, across to Madagascar and halfway into the Indian Ocean.

I know a Great White was tagged and tracked travelling from SA to Australia and back.

Dude millions tango with the deadly shark yearly and only a few get attacked, meanwhile we slaughter them in their millions for their fins.

If i was the shark population i would be waging a fking war on humans.
We? Speak for yourself! I ain't never killed, or even assaulted a shark!

Well, why are you slaughtering them? Wtf is the matter is with you? Leave them be. :)

People who carry on about entering their world etc etc have obviously never surfed and are vaalies or at least from somewhere inland.
Yes surfers understand its a risk but its something we do anyway, it doesnt make it any easier when a friend or someone you knew gets taken out by one.

Nobody is saying you can't go in the water. What we all agree on is that people don't have the right to go on shark hunting sprees when someone gets done in because it is their natural environment and not ours. And nobody is saying they do not have sympathy for anybody that gets taken. It must be a terrible way to go because you are helpless against a force like that and it will obviously pain the family, but again, they are behaving in a natural way in their natural environment.

Its definitely their place and we cant be angry with them, they are doing what they do naturally, its not malicious.
I get really angry about the people killing sharks for their fins etc, dont they know what they are doing to the oceans!?!?

Typical human behaviour, kills, destroys but gets shocked when a shark kills one human.

Our species is honestly one that should be removed.

Its ridiculous. Did anyone see the Mythbusters shark special where they list the things that you are more likely to die from than a shark attack.

Loads up shark special - you are more likely to die from a hot dog, a regular dog, vending machine, ants, pig, horse, lightening, a bed or a roller coaster ride.

And all we want to is kill kill kill sharks.....humans are pathetic!

You guys need to just calm the **** down, I don't know about you guys, but I sure as hell ain't killing/destroying any sharks....YEAH lets remove the pathetic human race because we're just killing sharks it seems, god only twice in my life before have I seen an actual shark in real time, let alone touch one... Always funny when people speak of "we" and make everyone out to be scum, when they're actually refering to a handfull of people:D

That is pretty amazing. Wow... the way they prowl the shoreline like that, so close in and relentless. Seeing their hunting activity in the form of those dry line graphics actually tells you more about them than one would think. They sure know what the fck they're doing out there.
