Yeap, I'm going shark cage diving this weekend, leaving shortly for Klein Baai for shark cage diving tomorrow morning.

Can't wait... gonna try 'touch' me a big white sharky ;)

Pictures, will as per usually, typically follow on Sunday evening or Monday.

Awesome. Fiancee is planning on doing it next year on the honeymoon.

Will direct her to this post. I'm not too fond of the ocean so I will give it a pass.

Knowing Gdiza he'll give us such an in depth account we'll know if the shark had dimples or not :D

Yasus, you know me so well, I'm impressed! :)

We leaving at about 3pm to drive though, I'm taking my GF and my boss and his good friend, diving starts tomorrow at 7am.

We going with "White Shark Projects" www.whitesharkprojects.co.za

I've been told that they are the best (yes, there are lots) but these guys do it properly - so lets see!

I'm so stoked and of cause, kaaaaark scared but ag, I'm in a cage, so what could go wrong... I do however plan to 'touchy' a shark :) haha.

Keep your hands in the cage noob

It's not so easy to do this.

What they do is put you in the cage with mask and snorkel. You bob on the surface till a spotter on the boat above sees a man in a grey suit swim up to the boat. The spotter shouts 'SHARK' and you push yourself underwater to see it. They almost never use scuba gear because it's too noisy and scares the sharks.

So you're underwater and holding the bars of cage above your head with your arms but your feet (in flippers) can't touch the bottom of the cage so float around. The bars are normally wide enough for your limbs to fit through while you're flailing about underwater. I bit daunting the first few times it happens. Fun though.

Did you see the mess that ‘Jaws’ shark made of the shark cage? We salute you. Do you want bagpipes if we can find anything? Shall we send flowers?

Apparently sharks go into a feeding frenzy when there is poo in the water. They sense the fear or something.

I made a deal with sharks. I won't go into the water and they don't come on land.

Yes Jaws the movie was based on real life...

I'm sure Mythbusters had a go at testing a cage against a shark the size of the one in the Jaws film. The shark won.

"Great White nearly bit in half by an even BIGGER monster: Swimmers stay out of the water after warning over giant 20ft shark"

WOW!!!!!!

I'm back, exhausted as hell, will sort and upload pictures later (tomorrow)

We were given a DVD which they recorded on the day, that I will also try upload to Flickr.

When I went it was the teeth of the sharks that really scared me. So white.
The sharks are also much wider that I expected. What did you think?

I wish I had shark teeth... not the shape or size etc, just "renewable" like theirs. Like if I pull one out another one would grow in it's place. I'd love it. Then your teeth would stay white because each time you get plaque you just pull it...
