Scientists and marine officials are hoping to rescue an injured great white shark after it was shot yesterday by a spearfisherman in False Bay.

"(The) shark was not acting aggressively. It had gotten close to divers and as it turned to swim away the diver 'shot at the shark' in an attempt to scare it away, but (he) accidentally shot the shark in the vicinity of the gills."

What a dumb ass! The shark should have chowed him!

Sad.. Stupid idiot hope a lions gets him in the kruger next time he goes...:(

The shark wasn't acting aggresively? Then that's not a shark then, maybe a barber or a green marlin or something.

idiots like deserve to be chowed
they just making it worse for the surfers

If the spearfisher had kept his trap shut there wouldn't be this hullaboo about a Great White swimming around with a Gastric Bypass.

LoL, yeah would've been "no hype" then

I liked this part :D

"Always look at a shark when you see one, and never
turn and swim away, because then you behave like prey and become more interesting to them. But if a white shark wants to go for you, you probably won't even have the time to know it's there."

That shark gonna go tell it's crew. Expect a lot of eaten people soon.

What colour was the fisherman??? I mean he shot a Great White!!! Not just any whitey will do now!! :D
