Sharks Supporters Thread

TBH he should have called the TMO for both tries, when I saw it happen I told my dad its not a try but then it was awarded and I was like :wtf:

I assume he saw what happened at half time and gave this one for that reason. The missed conversion was the difference :(

That ref should just simply not ref at all. Since when did Odwa become a forward?

The point is that he has technology at his disposal. Why not use it. From where he was situated, he could not see the initial grounding of the ball and based his decision on the reactions of the Lions' players.

Wow, that is always going to give you an accurate decision! ha ha

You're a Bulls fan who is coming here purely to troll ...... fsck off

I am a Lions supporter and that result definitely doesn't suit the Bulls. That last try was justice, at least there was a chance it was grounded. The first half try by the Sharks was definitely out. The Sharks are actually lucky they didn't get another yellow at the end. I am guessing that had RK not been sent off, someone else would have got a card for persistent infringements. Sharks are lucky that they didn't get two cards at the end there.

That said, the ref was useless. He was useless last week as well (I think it was the Bulls-Cheetahs game).

So no need for the previous comments then......

But if we are going to argue it, then a dodgy decision in the first few minutes still gives the opposition time to come back. One in the last minute, with a few points difference, hands the game to the team!

Not necessarily the case. Take for example the poor decision to send off Wikus van Heerden last week. That was game changing and ultimately resulted in the Bulls winning. Early mistakes can pull the wind out of a teams sail.

That ref is a moron who shouldn't be allowed to hold a whistle, let alone ref a game.

Why are the Sharks always the recipients of bad referee calls that cost them games?

Should be, but don't write off the smaller teams and possible upsets.

I watched the highlights of the game again today and there is no chance that Mvovo stepped on the line for his second try - he was well inside when he received the pass from Odwa Ndungane.

Nope, sorry! You cannot argue with the premise put forward by myself. If a decision goes against you in the first few minutes and results in points against you, you CAN still recover and you DO have time to come back. If it happens in the last minute, you can't! You can't argue with that.

A sending off is also a little different as it is not guaranteed points, you still need to score them. A refereeing error in awarding a try, when one was not scored, is guaranteed points!
