Sharks Supporters Thread

Great win against the Rebels!

Clearly you weren't watching the same game I was. They only won by a few points against a pretty mediocre team. While I'm glad they won (I will die a Sharks supporter) they played a really pathetic game of rugby. They let the Rebels play their game. Well done on the win despite the bad rugby Sharks.

I mean honestly how can we do so badly against a team that doesn't know that you need to retreat 10m when your opponent gets a penalty?

You got to take into account that they had John Smit on the field lol. To be fair, they are playing in Australia with having played a tough game against the Force.

You have a good point there.

IMO John is looking sluggish but I suppose he needed a run and this was a good game against a weaker side to give him a run.

I also agree that the Force were basically allowed to just beat the stuffing out of the Sharks. Someone who tuned in halfway through that game would have sworn that they had just changed over to UFC by accident.

We just allowed the Rebels to play their own style instead of setting the style of play ourselves. That let them get their tails up when they should have been crying for their collective mommies and praying to whatever gods motivate them that they didn't have to endure another scrum.

I agree about Smit. He's like an anchor in the side these days - and not in a good way. As soon as he left the field things improved. I had already spat the dummy by then.

The whole defensive pattern changed for this game. Sharks were letting the opposition run at them with the ball and of course if you don't make your first time tackles when you do that the net result is letting in tries. 4 of them this time.

Well, a terrible gameplan by the Sharks. Barely any possession for us, they attacked almost 80% of the time. Oh well, well played anyway.

Adi should be discarded once and for all, he's over it and offers nothing.

Also as I said in the other thread, the Durr brothers tried their best to get the most penalties each ...... dumb play.
