A heads up for the forum.

In an amazing display of total stupidity, WBS have kicked Shaun Green
from the job of Operations Manager.

I phoned their main switchboard, and got told 'No, Shaun Green has
moved on"
I asked if this means he's no longer working with WBS - the switchboard
female says 'No he's still with the company - but in another department.
"Who's the operations manager now?" I ask.
(sounds like) "Moosa"
"Is it a he or a she" I ask.
"A she."

So. There you have it.
One of the few people to actually do a damn fine job on IBursts behalf,
putting in hours and energy above and beyond the call of duty - has been
sidelined and moved to another department, away from where he was doing
the most good.

Now IBurst has no one in an authority position, to be dealing with the public,
and offset their ongoing incompetent and thuglike behaviour.

Why have they done this?

Shaun Green was amazingly good at his job, and helped a lot of customers -
and by moving him out of this position, its clear that IBurst Management
didnt like something. Duh. Otherwise they wouldn't have done this.

(If it aint broke, don't fix it, is a standard maxim. So IBurst clearly think that
something was 'broken' in some way..)

The wankers Mtshali and Parvin simply can't be so intent on running the
business into the ground, that they'll remove a popular worker who's clearly
won over a lot of customers.

My gut feel is that perhaps Shaun has been sidelined because he is/was the
wrong ethnic group to be both prominent and a bridge between the customers
and the utterly uncaring corprorate face of WBS.

(If my guess is wrong, then it'd be great to hear solid reasons from WBS
as to why they've moved and sidelined one of the few workers who actually
did a damn good job for them, both technically, as well as on a PR front.)

Now IBurst is alone. As are we customers.

I haven't spoken to Shaun, but as he's still apparently with the company,
in some other position, I'd guess he's blocked from posting on forum and
speaking his mind.

Shaun Green excelled at his job, and helped many disgruntled customers
actually receive a decent service.

He will be missed.

Here is one more reason to kick your iBurst modem off the window and order ADSL :-)

maybe it was his choice?

Doubt that, seeing as how WBS will force you to sign a letter of resignation a week after they told you you were permanent... RIGHT "his choice"

Somehow I suspect that the trust / good faith Shaun created with the majority of iBurst customers, is non-transferrable, Moosa will have a tough time of it...

LGM - best to make sure that the decision wasn't actually Shaun Greens before speculating.

For all you know, he could've been planning the move himself for some time.

Well i fi had guys like you calling me all day i would gallop over to greener pastures :p

Well other than the reason that LG stated - the only thing I can think of is that he got a promotion to somewhere else; seeing as he in fact did satisfy alot of customers?

I doubt that they would have demoted someone for making customers happy - but then again - anything is possible.

My point as well, maybe he was so gatvol that he just wanted to move somewhere else.

Ag no man! I really appreciated it when Shaun joined in on our discussions - it meant a lot to me.

I've still got his email address, if someone wants to email him : [email protected]

Eish!

my sources tell me that it wasn't his decision or choice at all (to move from being Ops Manager) - it was made for him by IBurst.
Any undercover Orcs on forum, from the 21st floor, want to fill in the gaps?
I think Shaun was liked by the staff there, it'd be interesting to hear a birds eye view of his going and this new replacement arriving..

Perhaps he was "moved" because he did his job better than others do theirs or was better appreciated than the rest? Stranger justifications have been used in the past, but I can see some WBS 'chiefs' seeing his apparent popularity as either a threat or as Shaun as being somehow disloyal to the Company. Because if the truth be told, Thami and Parvin have certainly gone out of their way to be as big-a-arseholes as they can possibly be, therefore Shaun's actions may be seen as going against Company policy..

TheRoDent - heh, you're probably right - but he was still a persistent and visible face
for customers.

Sorta like Colonel Sanders is for KFC :P

So now there isn't even that happy bearded smiling Colonel Sanders face
around, to hide the fact that we're being sold greasy dead birds, with
degenerative bone diseases, deep fried in oil, rolled in an MSG-sawdust mixture.
