Shaving

Ah k but when I tried to start another one a while ago it was promptly deleted... :(:(

Anyone try the new shick one shown on the tv ad? the bottom end thing looks interesting.. i prefer having stubble(people usually use electric razors that do this).

hectic, how short is the side of head hair then :o

I found some shaving cream at Dischem the other day that is really amazing stuff. It's called Headslick http://www.headblade.co.za/product.asp?pid=4&cid=3 .

A small amount, size of a old 2cent coin, is more than enough to shave with. I'm really really impressed with it. No razor burn either. R120 in the site. R109 in Dischem.

I use one of the vibrating 5 blade shavers now for a while and never looked back. Decent soap as shaving cream works fine. No glogging at all.

Just thought about it this morning when I shaved.

What do you guys prefer to use? Wet or dry shaving? And the reason for that?

Same for the ladies - I see those shaving adverts on telly as well, and wonder what do you prefer... wet or dry, and the reason why.

I shave dry, because the shaving blades are too expensive. I used my shaver (Philishave basic one) for more than two years now, it set me back with R400 or so when I bought it.

Figured out that I can save some money on shaving blades as these are too expensive, but do love a wet shave as it's just smoother.

Last I saw a pack of shaving blades for the Gillette 2 was about R50 or so...

Cheers

i prefer shaving gell gillette or nivia senstive + glide then i only use the gilette venus it is a lot better than the normal man thing.

now the question is what do you shave ? :D

I just replaced my Braun Synchro shaver (was in my bag that the airline lost) with the new 7 series Pulsonic and I'm really impressed with it - shaves just as close as the multi-blade razors, very quick and without the hassle of water and shaving cream etc.
In summer and high humidity I use the pre-shave [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Shaver-Aids-pre-shave-stick/dp/B001H4NXQQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1249767076&sr=8-1"]FaceSaver powder stick[/ame] before shaving.

I also bought the HeadBlade and it works great.

The headblade blades don't look 'safe' or rather they look like they'll result in lots of nics and cuts ... Anyone used one?
I got one minor nick the first time I used it, and then learnt that the key to avoiding nicks is to keep the little wheels making contact at all times.
