Well they do. I order from them every few months and what is written on the invoice is never the correct value that I pay as a customer. I will post some pics if I can find the boxes.

Edit: here are a few pics. These are all shoes and with a minimum purchase price of R2600 going up to R4000. They are all under declared on the invoice.

Nike.com has an interesting thing going, the way it looks like they operate is to be able to ship globally but not incur huge customs duties on the selling price is they actually import the shoes under whatever company Nike operates in the destination country, when you order from Nike.com the sale goes through their local subsidiary not Nike USA. So for South African they use their local Sa based operation and that enables them to only pay duties on the wholesale cost price of say R1700 vs normally it would be on the full R3k+ and ridiculously high.

It’s like asking your local Nike shop to place a special order of some particular colourway and they order it from the USA and import it like usual, pay duties on the wholesale import price and then when you go pick it up you pay the normal retail price for that style, except in the online ordering equation they cut out the physical shop but still route the order through the local “shop”.
