Who's used them? http://www.shiftcomputers.co.za/

The name makes it sound so shifty... Don't want to end up in a situation where I have to sue this guy to get my money back. Whomever runs that website hasn't put any physical addresses on the page which is a bit of a warning sign to me.

i bought a Netgear 3G USB Router from them just to check if they were for real and i got it the following day, it actually looks a bit cool compared to most online stores out there.
lack of the physical address is really a scare though hope who ever owns the site fix that.

anyway why dont you try buying something small like a game to check them out thats what i usually do since the number of these online stores is growing each day.

i don't get what the big deal is about this store. and R673 isn't exactly a lot of money:confused:

To me it is GURU1 :)

I work part time so I don't get too much money.

That About Us page changed since I posted this. I'm fairly sure of that. LOL, so whomever is running that site must be monitoring this one....

Btw. Thanks for all the input everyone, still wondering if I should risk it, their prices are pretty good for the item I want.

1TB hard-drives, building a NAS so I don't want anything else, I already have quite a few, buying any other size would be a waste of both money and space (just the way RAID 5 works).

Yeah nvm, I went with the Cyberdyne special of 2TB drives (R1362.3 ea) and sold all my 1TB hard-drives. It's amazing how quickly you can get 1TB hard-drives sold (2 years old). Going with RAID 5 array made up of 2TB drives now, using OpenFiler as my NAS. Bit of topic info there but works out much cheaper if like me you have a PC lying around and you want NAS.

Working it out, the cheapest 1TB's I saw cost R660 ea directly from the suppliers (saw that in another topic) that is 0.66c per GB, the 2TB's going for R1362.3 each is 0.68c per GB. Not too shabby especially considering that 2TB drives are fairly new to the market. I also get a crappy mouse with each HD :p
