Has any private individual (ie not a business) done it?

Was it one or multiple parts?

What service did you use?

Thanks in advance

I have heard of a service called www.myus.com. Has anyone ever used it? Thoughts on it?

You can ship them yourself - I've ordered most of my PC components from the states either via USPS Express Mail International or DHL/Fedex/UPS etc. Be prepared to pay 14% import duty plus handling fee/customs clearing fee when they arrive. Also ensure that the sender attaches an invoice to the shipment.

Also if you plan doing this more than 3 times a year or are shipping the item to a business address you may be required or may be forced to have an importers number from SARS for the shipment to be released.

A long, long time ago I bought Galactic Civilizations and Master of the Empire from two companies in the US. One was Stardock, can't remember what the second one was.

You'll have to ask them to insure the contents tho.

Ditto about the customs tax.

Hope the contents doesn't get stolen or damaged in transit.

Cheers!
