Shocking bribery confessions from SA executives

Professional services firm, Ernst & Young, says that as many as 10% of South Africa executives would pay a cash bribe in order secure work.

how is this shocking? -At one of the banks I worked at, a dominant player in the printer- & pc-business (tender for supplying printers to all branches) furnished all execs with laptops, servers, colour laser printers and also whisked them away to the Vic falls for a long weekend. The sales rep alone made 5m commission and had no issue extending sexual favours to all decision makers and it only stopped when a recording from one of the security cameras surfaced (but then magically disappeared). In my experience 2/3 of execs will accept a bribe in one way or another (and sometimes are not even aware that a sponsored family-holiday constitutes a bribe - go figure).
