Shocking speeds?

Seems to me that this is an ongoing issue - I am in Durban and also have erratic speeds for web browsing, but generally seem to cope fine with streaming internet radio.

This seems to have been the case for months now with below par browsing all the time and some times when it is just plain useless to all non- existent.

Does no one have a meaningful answer to this and long term prognoses?

Telkom says international isnt their responsability and then the guy gave me some 08600 7249 number which didnt work (must have missed a digit) to phone for international issues.... sigh, at least Im nottotally alone, if this happens tomorrow again Im going to ask for a refund on my 4Mb line since it hasnt been working for 2/3 days Ive had it!
Looks like they gave you SAIX's number (which is the right thing to do) - the correct number is 0860 00 SAIX (0860 00 7249).
If you're going to phone SAIX, please tell them to also check out their Squid Cache Network. Tell them when browsing internationally through their proxies, speeds are capped at 512kbps per session which is pathetic!
