Always has been, and then you have these malls that charge R10 for 0-2 hours

It’s actually the opposite that drive the 0-1hr traffic.. ie get people in and out.. kinda why most places with grocers offer it.0

First hour free where I shop and that's ideal, any longer and I'd end up spending more.

I go to Canal Walk often. I would fall in the 0-2 hours tier most frequently. That’s R10.

I pop into the PnP & purchase a milkshake or Yogi Sip. The barcoded slip allows free parking for the 1st 1.5 hours. 90% of the time I pay no parking.

Popular fees really does he think we are idiots...I dont like parking fees..The excuse should be we want to make more money..

The malls I frequent, don't ask parking fees. I tend to ignore the rest. Don't want to bother or force myself on the rich in their Private Wealth glory and all.
